Job Overview

We are currently looking for a full time Lifeguard to join us at Loughborough University Swimming Pool.

Salary: £23,088 to £24,517 per annum. Subject to annual pay award and shift allowance of 12.5%.

Hours: Full Time, Permanent. Placement date: Mon 30th March 2026. Application closing date: 12:00am Sun 19th April 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment for users of the pool, ensuring health and safety regulations are met.
• Deliver excellent customer service, exceeding expectations and maintaining a supportive atmosphere.
• Work a shift system including early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holiday/closure days, with a shift allowance of 12.5%.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or equivalent is advantageous (not essential).
• First Aid qualification is desirable; training will be provided if required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Enthusiastic, punctual, reliable, and able to work well within a team.
• Ages 18+.
