Lifeguard - Trainee / Qualified

Whinfell Forest £13.83 per hour

As a Lifeguard in our Subtropical Swimming Paradise, you will help create a safe and welcoming experience for every guest. You will uphold the highest health and safety standards while delivering exceptional guest care.

What you'll be doing
  • Monitor pool areas, ensuring guest safety and responding to emergencies
  • Provide friendly, professional customer service
  • Maintain cleanliness and uphold health and safety standards
  • Complete NPLQ training and demonstrate rescue and first aid skills

To be a Lifeguard, you must be a strong swimmer and pass a swim test during the interview, which includes diving into deep water, timed swimming on front and back, and exiting the pool without assistance.

Trainee Lifeguards must attend a 5 day NPLQ course. Employment is subject to passing the course. The course includes classroom sessions on lifeguard responsibilities, observing pool guests, performing rescues and administering first aid and CPR.

Your working hours
  • Full time and part time contracts; shifts run between 8:45 am and 8:45 pm
  • Guaranteed minimum hours over a 4 week period; additional hours may be required to meet operational needs
  • Role includes weekends and bank holidays
About you
  • RLSS Pool Lifeguard or NARS qualification and 20 hour continued professional development (qualified lifeguards only)
  • Able to swim 50 metres within 55 seconds
  • Communicates effectively and stays calm under pressure
  • Friendly, genuine and warm toward guests and colleagues

Note: You will need to complete a DBS check before starting (we will assist you).
