Location: Edinburgh Central Library
Rate of Pay: £14.51 per hour
Start Date: April 2026
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 4:00pm (includes 60-minute unpaid break)
Duration: Temporary Ongoing

We are looking for a reliable and organised individuals to support our library distribution service. This role involves transporting books and materials across libraries in Edinburgh.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading the van each morning with books and materials for delivery
• Follow a pre-planned route to visit multiple library locations
• Deliver boxes of books to libraries and collect returns
• Work collaboratively in a two-person team, taking turns driving while the other manages deliveries and collections

Requirements

• Category B driving licence
• Confident driving a Transit or Luton van
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, punctual, and organised
• Ability to carry and move heavy loads
