About the role

At a glance

The salary offered for this role is up to £42,700, from 1st April this will increase to £44,200, plus overtime is readily available.

Working hours: Monday - Friday, alternate shifts, 37.5 hours per week

Shifts: AM shift 06:00-14:00, PM shift 13:30-21:30

Based at our Customer Fulfilment Centre in Coulsdon, our Vehicle Technician workshop team ensures our fleet of Waitrose and John Lewis vehicles remain well maintained and on the road, ensuring stock is in the right place at the right time for our customers.

As a LGV Vehicle Technician, you'll work on a range of vehicles from smaller Delivery Ford Transit Connects to 3.5T Mercedes Sprinter vans. Your responsibilities include servicing and repairing our light vehicle fleet and maintaining a safe workshop environment.

Essential Experience/Qualifications:
  • City and Guilds 1,2,3 Vehicle technician or equivalent
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience in transport commercial vehicle repairs
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness
  • Experience with diagnostic tools
  • 'C' or 'C+E' driving licence is desirable but not essential
