Job Role - Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Location - Knowsley

Start Date - January

Salary - £92 per day

Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a Level 3 Qualification looking for a rewarding new role? We want you to join a fantastic school in Knowsley who are offering a long-term, full-time role to start in January until Summer within the Early Years Provision (2-year-old provision).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to young children to support their learning through play and structured activities.
  • Offer emotional, social, and pastoral support, helping children to develop confidence, independence, and positive self-esteem.
  • Support children with early communication, language, and personal development, including routines such as turn-taking and listening.
  • Assist children with additional needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), by following individual support plans and adapting activities.
  • Help to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment that promotes positive behaviour and well-being.
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents/carers to support children's progress and development.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of activities that support children's early learning goals and overall development.

What we require:

  • Previous experience working within Early Years
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build warm, trusting relationships with children.
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning, development, and well-being.
  • An understanding of the additional challenges some young children may face and awareness of strategies to support their learning and development.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the individual needs and routines of young children in an Early Years setting.
  • A commitment to promoting equal opportunities and safeguarding.
  • At least 6 months experience within the last 2 years ideally working with children within EYFS
  • Enhanced DBS check on the online update service or willing to get one
  • Ability to provide two professional childcare references within the last 2 years
