Job Description
Teaching Assistants - Level 3

Permanent Band C point 8-14, £26,824 £29,540 (actual salary £20,109 £22,145). 32.5 hours per week, term time only, 39 weeks per year.

Working hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:50 am-3:40 pm; Wednesday 8:50 am-4:40 pm. Occasional extended CPD sessions until 5:45 pm on Wednesdays.

Role Overview

Supports a diverse range of learners with moderate to complex additional needs, including autism, ADHD, Down's syndrome, social emotional challenges, mental health needs, medical and personal care requirements. The role is dynamic, fast paced and full of opportunity, working collaboratively to shape the future for students.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily teaching and learning activities for students with SEND.
  • Implement positive behaviour management and solution focused strategies.
  • Support students with medical, personal care and wellbeing needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff and external agencies to plan and deliver individualized support.
  • Contribute to a restorative, solution focused approach and promote student wellbeing.
Qualifications & Experience
  • NVQ Level 3 in Education/Childcare/Child Development/Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent).
  • GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above in English & Maths (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children with SEND.
  • Creative, reflective, resilient, proactive team player with a growth mindset.
