Level 3 Nursery Practitioner
Location: Lightwater, Surrey
Salary: £29,000 to £32,000 per annum
Type: Full time

We are recruiting for a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a well-regarded early years setting in Lightwater.

This is a great opportunity for a passionate early years professional to join a nursery that combines a warm, home-from-home environment with a strong focus on quality childcare, play-based learning and child development. The nursery publicly says its team is dedicated to giving every child the best start in life by supporting them to play, learn and grow in a positive and stimulating environment.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing while working as part of a friendly and caring team. This role would suit someone who enjoys day-to-day nursery practice, values strong parent partnerships and wants to work in a setting with a positive reputation and a stable team culture. The nursery publicly highlights learning guided by the EYFS, regular learning journal updates for parents, and all-inclusive extra-curricular activities.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS
  • Create a safe, warm and stimulating environment for children
  • Support children's learning, development and wellbeing through engaging activities
  • Complete observations and contribute to planning and next steps
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers and colleagues
  • Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and best practice across the setting
  • Work collaboratively as part of the wider nursery team
Requirements:
  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Good understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Positive, caring and proactive approach
  • Commitment to delivering high standards of childcare and education
What's on offer:
  • £29,000 to £32,000 per annum
  • Opportunity to join a nursery with a strong child-centred ethos
  • Supportive and highly qualified team
  • Home-from-home environment
  • Fantastic all-seasons outdoor play area
  • Nappies and wipes included for children
  • Regular parent updates through learning journals
  • Open 51 weeks of the year, 7:30am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday

The nursery publicly highlights a holistic early years approach guided by the EYFS, learning through play, a carefully designed home-from-home environment, dedicated outdoor space and a wider local community used as part of the learning experience. It also says the team is friendly, empathetic and creative, and that the latest Ofsted report, published in November 2025, confirmed safeguarding standards were fully met.

The nursery is located, close to the town centre as well as the A322 and M3.

Safer recruitment checks will apply, including references and an enhanced DBS check.
