Job Description

Level 3 Nursery Practitioner
Location: Maidenhead, Berkshire SL6
Salary: Dependent on experience
Start Date: As soon as possible

About the Role

A dedicated School Level 3 Nursery Practitioner is required to join a Nursery team in a full-time, all year-round position. The role involves working 42.5 hours per week between 7:30am and 6:00pm.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team to provide structured play and development opportunities for children aged 2 4, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment that supports early learning and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise children and ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate play and learning activities
  • Support children with meals, snacks, and personal care
  • Observe, assess, and maintain records of children s development
  • Prepare and maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment
  • Set up and clear away activities, ensuring equipment is safe and appropriate
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers, communicating daily
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the Nursery
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and parent evenings
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health & safety, and hygiene

Person Specification

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in childcare, or willingness to train
  • Previous experience in an early years setting
  • Good level of English and numeracy
  • Ability to create safe, engaging, and stimulating activities
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Reflective, creative, and enthusiastic in supporting early years learning
