Job Description

Teaching Assistants - Level 2 Permanent
Band B point 3-5 £24,796-£25,583 FTE (actual salary £18,588-£19,178) 32.5 hours per week/Term Time Only (39 weeks)

Hazel Oak School is a dynamic, all age special school committed to transforming lives. We seek passionate, dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support a diverse range of learners with moderate to complex additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, Down's Syndrome, and social emotional challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with classroom learning and routines
  • Assist with learning activities planned by class teachers
  • Build trusting relationships to help pupils feel secure
  • Promote communication, independence and engagement
  • Support personal care, feeding and individual medical needs (full training provided)
  • Contribute to active, inclusive break time experiences as part of the duty team

  • Able to provide continuity, stability and high quality support for pupils

Working hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8.50 am - 3.40 pm and Wednesday 8.50 am - 4.40 pm. Occasional Wednesdays involve extended CPD sessions until 5.45 pm.
