A diverse and inclusive primary school in the Rochdale area is currently recruiting for a Teaching assistant. About the role:

• 320 pupils, ages 5-11
• Offering support to children in a classroom environment and has facilities to support pupils on a 1:1 basis in their own rooms outside the main classroom
• Support the class teacher with preparation of work for the class and managing the class environment
• High proportion of children come from non-English speaking families, some languages spoken include Somali, Urdu & Bengali
• Work on a 1:1 basis and in small groups with children to support targeted interventions in areas such as reading, writing and speaking.

• Passionate about making a difference
• Ability to use various techniques to support children in managing their behaviour
• Be patient, supportive and have an understanding approach
• Ability to make learning fun for the children
• Minimum Level 2 TA qualification or equivalent
