Legal Officer - X4

Job Overview

We are seeking a Legal Officer to join our team, with up to three locations available and hybrid working options. The salary range is £49,275 - £55,668 per annum, plus London weighting where applicable.

This is a fixed-term contract until 31st July 2026, working 35 hours per week with a hybrid working arrangement (40% in-office and 60% remote).

Responsibilities

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary legal team, handling a broad range of regulatory matters, including fitness to practise proceedings, allegations of fraudulent or incorrect entry onto the NMC Register, and assessing a member's status before a Coroner.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, CILEX Fellow, or CILEX Lawyer with experience in handling regulatory cases
• Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain professional standards
• Experience in handling a large caseload of regulatory cases, preferably with experience in inquests and/or healthcare regulatory law
