OverviewA well-established law firm in Nottingham is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with prior legal accounts experience to play a key role in ensuring the firm's financial processes run smoothly and in line with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing client and office account transactions in accordance with the SRA Accounts Rules

• Handling receipts, payments, transfers and bill postings

• Managing CHAPS and BACS payments

• Performing daily bank reconciliations

• Supporting month-end and year-end procedures

• Assisting with VAT returns and disbursements

• Dealing with queries from fee earners and external parties

• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance at all times

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Legal Cashier within a law firm

• Strong understanding of the SRA Accounts Rules

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Good organisational and time-management skills

• Confident using legal accounts and case management systems

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
