Legal Assistant

We are looking for a proactive and highly organised legal assistant to support our Family team.

Salary: Market Rate


Job Type: Full time


Reports to: Head of Family


Role Overview


The successful candidate will support fee earners with a wide range of administrative and client-facing tasks, helping to deliver a high standard of legal services across all aspects oflaw.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and legal support to solicitors and other fee earners

  • Provide administrative and legal support to solicitors and other fee earners

  • Prepare correspondence and legal documentation, including court forms and bundles.

  • Manage diaries, book appointments and hearings, and liaise with clients, counsel, courts and other third parties.

  • Handle client queries with professionalism and empathy,maintainingexcellent client care standards.

  • File management including opening and closing files, document filing (electronic and paper), andmaintainingaccuraterecords.

  • Support with billing and file audits asrequired.

  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policy and procedures.

  • Support the team in business development and marketing initiatives.

  • Ad hoc


Key Skills and Experience

  • Previousexperience as a legal assistant or secretarydesirable

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to details.

  • Confident in working with case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.

  • Understanding of the sensitive nature of family and litigation matters and ability to deal with such matters professional and compassionately.

  • Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
