LEGAL ASSISTANT - LITIGATION/ARBITRATION TEAM

We are looking for a dedicated, bright, and motivated Legal Assistant with specialist experience in filing legal submissions, particularly with arbitral tribunals and/or Swiss courts. This position is ideally suited to an experienced Legal Assistant, Paralegal, Jurist, Clerk, or equivalent, with background in litigation and/or arbitration practices. The successful candidate will be based in our Geneva office and will work in both French and English as part of cross-office and cross-departmental disputes teams. LEGAL ASSISTANT LITIGATION/ARBITRATION TEAM
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the filing of submissions with arbitral tribunals and Swiss courts, including document formatting, cite checking, preparation of electronic and hard-copy documents, and translation work.
- Supporting hearing preparations, especially in arbitral tribunals.
- Assisting lawyers with document management, deadline management, procedural requirements and case preparation.
- Handling administrative and organisational tasks and providing general administrative support to lawyers, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements, filing expense reports, and handling incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Drafting and proofreading of correspondence and legal documents in French and English.
- Managing the administration of client files, including physical and electronic filing and archiving.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience as a member of litigation/arbitration legal teams, with particular focus on filing legal submissions, before Swiss courts and/or international arbitral tribunals.
- Excellent accuracy and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Pro-active and responsive, demonstrating ownership of tasks and responsibilities; capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexible and adaptable in fast-paced environments.
- Solid experience in providing administrative support and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
