Within this, our EMEA Asset Management Legal team is a dynamic group responsible for the oversight of a sophisticated suite of alternative investment vehicles, including Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Hedge Funds. As the firm continues to expand its footprint in private markets this team plays a critical role in navigating the complexities of a rapidly evolving global investment landscape.
YOUR IMPACT
We are seeking a dynamic legal professional to join our growing team in a role that offers unparalleled exposure to a diverse range of investment vehicles. You will be responsible for the legal management of a broad portfolio, encompassing both close ended and open ended structures. This position sits at the intersection of product design and implementation, and regulatory excellence, requiring a sophisticated understanding of both regulated and un regulated fund environments across the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Legal Oversight: Manage the end to end legal lifecycle of diverse fund structures, ensuring seamless execution across all alternative asset classes.
- Fund Formation & Raising: Lead legal work related to fund formation, asset raising, and complex transactional matters for vehicles across all alternative asset classes.
- Advisory Excellence: Provide ongoing support on a wide range of advisory and asset management issues, managing regulatory and reputational risk with critical thinking and analytical rigor.
- Cross Functional Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between investment teams, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders to drive the successful launch and scaling of new products.
- Experience: At least 7 years of post qualification experience (PQE) in alternative asset management or funds law. Previous in house experience or secondments are highly regarded.
- Professional Qualification: Qualified to practice law in the UK, US, EU, or a similar jurisdiction.
- Technical Expertise: Deep familiarity with the mechanics of private market funds, including fund formation, transactional work, and regulatory compliance.
- Dynamic Mindset: A proactive team player capable of driving initiatives in a fast paced, high stakes environment.
- Communication: Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts to senior leadership and global stakeholders.
