Job Description

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Legal Administrator who will provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to a team of lawyers, contributing to the efficient delivery of exceptional client service and successful case outcomes. The role requires strong organisational abilities, attention to detail, and the utmost discretion when handling confidential information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to fee earners and the wider legal team.
  • Type and format correspondence, legal documents, and reports from digital dictation or other sources.
  • Prepare, proofread, and edit documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Complete assigned administrative tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the department.
  • Ensure the secure handling of sensitive information, including password protection and PDF conversion of documents.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant electronic and paper filing systems.
  • Manage individual workload effectively, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Prepare and maintain financial and client records, including Trust ledgers where required.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, colleagues, and external contacts to support case progression.

  • Excellent communication and client care skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust at all levels.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Professional, discreet, and reliable in handling confidential information.
  • Team-oriented, with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Adaptable and able to perform effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards.
  • Previous experience in a legal administrative or secretarial role is desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and case management systems
  • Proactive in personal and professional development, with a commitment to continuous learning.
