Job Description
Overview

City St George's, University of London, City Law School, offers the largest single cohort for Bar training, delivering high quality legal education to over 400 students each year. The School is based in Clerkenwell in a modern, architect designed building with state of the art facilities.

Role

Full time and part time Lecturers and Senior Lecturers are required to deliver teaching on the Bar Vocational Studies (BVS) course. Candidates will provide a minimum of three days per week of teaching.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching the BVS course (August to March).
  • Marking between February and September.
  • Maintaining active links with the Professions subject to teaching commitments.
  • Preparing and delivering lessons on the Civil and/or Criminal parts of the course.
Qualifications
  • Qualified barrister with first hand experience of professional practice in England and Wales.
  • Desirable but not essential: experience teaching.
