Job Title: Lecturer in Digital Design and Computing


Location: Waterfront


Hours and Weeks per Year: 22.2 hours / 52 weeks per year


In the role of Lecturer in Digital Design and Computing you'll predominantly be based at Waterfront and your focus will be on Teaching, Learning and Assessment tasks for various levels of Digital and IT courses.


This exciting role within the Digital Development Hub of Kirklees College is for a Lecturer of Computing and Digital Design to teach predominantly on our Level 2 and Level 3 programmes.



Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will be delivering engaging lectures, facilitating hands on practical sessions, and providing support and guidance to students throughout their time at Kirklees College.



Qualifications and Experience

Ideally, you'll have a relevant industry qualification at level 3+ (or be able to prove equivalent ability) and demonstrable experience in Digital and related industries. The qualifications necessary for this role are a minimum of Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A - C). Our faculty offers a broad range of qualifications, and we welcome applications from newly qualified teachers or applicants with relevant sector experience who are looking at taking their first steps towards a career in teaching and education. It is essential that you have relevant industry experience.


Experience of working in a FE College would be beneficial, as would a L5 Teaching Qualification. We could however support the right candidate to achieve their L5 qualification through our extensive in house teacher training programmes.
