Lecturer (Above the Bar) in Medical Education

Overview

UCC wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Medical Education for a full time position, anticipated duration 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and assist in the delivery of research led teaching, assessment and examining on courses in the School of Medicine, with a particular emphasis on undergraduate research.
• Engage in productive research and scholarship, including supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research.
• Participate in the administrative activities of the Medical Education Unit, the School of Medicine, and the academic life of the College and University.
• Carry out other duties appropriate to the post as may be assigned by the head of discipline/department/school.

Garda vetting and/or an international police clearance check may form part of the selection process.

The University may undertake an additional appointment(s) from this competition following the conclusion of the process.

Appointment may be made on the Lecturer (Above the Bar) Salary Scale: €80,776 - €104,610 (Scale B) / €76,852 - €99,378 (Scale A). Salary placement will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
