Lecturer - Electrical Engineering (UHI North, West and Hebrides)

UHI North, West and Hebrides is one of ten academic partners and research centres that make up UHI. This unique partnership allows us to deliver further and higher education programmes at our 19 campuses and centres across the North and West Highlands, Skye and the Outer Hebrides.

Salary range: £41,833 to £50,359 per annum

Duration: Permanent

Working hours: 35 hours per week, full-time

Location: Thurso

Position: We are seeking a Lecturer - Electrical Engineering to be based at our Thurso campus.

Responsibilities: The post holders will be responsible for planning and delivering effective learning, teaching, assessment, and student support to ensure a high-quality student experience and successful learners. This role involves working as part of a team to design and deliver holistic support for learning.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills: Candidates should hold a minimum of an SCQF level 6 modern apprenticeship qualification in Electrical or a related discipline and have experience in delivering learning, teaching, and assessment to groups of students. Experience in teaching further and higher education qualifications would be advantageous. A Gaelic language ability would also be beneficial.
