Not your average classroom role looking for something a little different from mainstream education?

We're recruiting for an Alternative Provision that does things differently. This provision blends hair & beauty vocational learning with Maths and English woven naturally into the day - engaging learners in a way that actually makes sense to them.

The provision is a creative, supportive environment working with young people who thrive outside of mainstream school. The focus is on practical skills in hair and beauty, building confidence, self esteem and real life employability skills, along with core subjects delivered in a way that feels relevant.

Think small groups, big personalities, and plenty of laughs.

We are looking for two new team members to join this provision, which we expect to be open by early April.

Qualifications

• Person centred and genuinely learner focused
• Non judgemental, patient and understanding
• Naturally sociable - able to build rapport and trust quickly
• Calm but full of personality
• Able to see behaviour as communication
• And most importantly have a proper sense of humour
• Experience of working within education

• Term time only
• Hours: 9am-2pm or 9am-3pm
