Role Summary

Ivy House School is a distinguished co educational, non denominational school for boys and girls aged 2-11 located in Golders Hill Park, Hampstead. The school provides an individualized educational path from Early Years through Prep School, aiming to support each pupil's academic achievement and personal development.

The Learning Support Assistant will work 1:1 with an individual pupil in Year 2, providing in class support and pre and post teaching assistance under the direction of the SENDCO and Class Teacher.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the pupil's educational, pastoral and personal development, delivering tailored learning support and study skills sessions.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, specialists, parents, the SENDCO, and senior leaders to maintain a consistent and joined up approach to pupil support, sharing strategies, progress and providing feedback.
• Monitor, record and evaluate the pupil's progress, maintain accurate records, perform associated administrative duties and support the implementation of learning and behavioural strategies in line with Key Stage 1 and 2 curriculum.
• Uphold the school's values through professional conduct, communication, appearance and behaviour, working collegially with colleagues and following all school policies and procedures.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• An enhanced DBS and prohibition order clearance.
• Participation in safeguarding, prevent duty and personal welfare training.
• Knowledge of safeguarding policies.
