Role Overview Learning Support Assistant
- As a Learning Support Assistant, provide targeted academic support across KS3 subjects.
- Work 1:2 and in small groups with Year 8 and Year 9 students.
- Support pupils within an ARP setting, including those with Autism (ASC) and additional needs.
- Maintain firm, clear boundaries while remaining kind, patient and consistent.
- Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams to support progress.
Learning Support Assistant Candidate Profile
- A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related discipline from a leading university.
- Strong A-Level results, ideally A or A in relevant academic subjects.
- Previous tutoring or school-based experience is highly desirable.
- Strong academic background with confidence across core KS3 subjects.
- A calm, resilient, and adaptable approach.
- Ability to build strong relationships with neurodivergent learners.
- Ideal for aspiring teachers or education professionals.
