Learning Support Assistant - Barking and Dagenham (September 2026)

A welcoming and inclusive all-through school in Barking and Dagenham is seeking a confident and capable Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with SEND and making a genuine difference to pupils' education and wellbeing.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work with children across EYFS to KS2, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH needs. The successful Learning Support Assistant will provide one-to one and small group support, helping pupils to access learning, develop confidence and make strong academic and social progress.

The school is looking for a proactive Learning Support Assistant with previous childcare experience who can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families. You will work closely with class teachers and the SEND team to deliver tailored interventions, manage behaviour positively and create a calm and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
