Learning Support Assistant

A lovely and welcoming primary school in Camden is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support a KS2 class from January. This full-time temporary role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with pupils, supporting learning and contributing to a positive classroom environment.

• Role: Learning Support Assistant (KS2 Class)
• Start Date: Second week of January 2026
• Location: Camden, London
• Contract: Full time - temporary (January to end of academic year)
• Pay: £500 - £560 per week

Responsibilities

• As the Learning Support Assistant, support pupils within a KS2 class during lessons and structured activities
• Work alongside the class teacher to support learning, engagement and independence
• Provide targeted support to individuals or small groups when required
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and participation in learning
• Contribute to the smooth running of the classroom and daily routines

Requirements

• Experience supporting pupils as a Learning Support Assistant in a primary school setting.
• Experience working within KS2 or similar age groups
• Able to build positive, respectful relationships with pupils
• Calm, patient and supportive approach to learning
• Available full time from January for the duration of the role
