Learning Support Assistant

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching and Learning Support Assistants to join the team at a well-regarded secondary school in West London, starting in September.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a future in teaching or for individuals with relevant experience working in a SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) environment.

The Role As a Teaching and Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with the school's SENCO and a team of experienced professionals to support students with additional needs in the classroom and during structured school activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing in-class support during lessons, form time, and break periods

Leading or assisting with specific long-term projects or short-term learning activities

Supporting teaching staff with monitoring, assessing, recording, and reporting on pupil progress and development

Helping to ensure all pupils are fully included in the school community and learning environment

The Ideal Candidate To be considered for this role, you should ideally have:

Experience working with SEND pupils and an understanding of different learning needs (Desirable but not essential)

The ability to support students in various settings: 1:1, in small groups, and within the classroom

A friendly, professional, and proactive approach to supporting students and staff

Excellent time management and organisational skills

The confidence to use your initiative and act as a positive role model for students
