Job Description

Learning Support Assistant (fixed term contract) - St Paul's Juniors

27 August 2025 - 3 July 2026

We are seeking a warm, proactive and thoughtful Learning Support Assistant to join our Learning Support team in the Junior School.

The role will involve enabling access to learning through the use of assistive technology, adapting classroom materials, supporting safe navigation of the school environment, and helping to scaffold confidence, independence and social interaction. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Learning Support, class teachers and external professionals to review and tailor support as appropriate. Training and guidance will be provided.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in a primary school setting (Key Stage 1 or 2) and a caring, calm and responsive approach to supporting individual needs. Experience in supporting children with sensory needs or vision impairment familiarity with assistive technology is desirable.

Salary: Competitive plus benefits.

Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. Term time (34 weeks).
