Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting full-time Learning Support Assistants to join a warm, welcoming and highly supportive specialist school in Totton, with opportunities available across both the primary and secondary sites.

This specialist setting supports children and young people aged 2-19 with severe, profound and complex learning difficulties. Many pupils also have additional needs including Autism, Down Syndrome, SEMH needs and physical disabilities.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small groups
  • Help students access learning in ways tailored to their individual needs
  • Encourage confidence, communication and independence
  • Work closely with experienced teachers, therapists and support staff
  • Build positive and meaningful relationships with pupils
  • Create a safe, engaging and supportive learning environment
What We're Looking For

We'd love to hear from individuals who are:

  • Experienced in SEN and/or SEMH support
  • From a background in education, care, youth work or support work
  • Positive, resilient and nurturing in their approach
  • Reliable and committed to full-time work
  • Passionate about making a long-term difference in young people's lives

TottonFull-time Monday-Friday£14.25 per hour
