Learning Partner

Salary: Circa £80,000 + discretionary bonus
Location: UK (hybrid)
Reports to: Director of Talent, Performance & Learning
Team: 3 direct reports (with potential to grow to 5)

A leading UK financial services FTSE 250 organisation is continuing to invest in its people capability following a recent organisational restructure. As part of this transformation, a new Professional Learning Partner role has been created within the people and learning function.

As the Professional Learning Partner, you'll lead the professional and core learning agenda, turning business priorities into practical, high-impact learning. You'll own the learning portfolio and digital strategy, manage suppliers, budgets, and a growing team, and ensure mandatory and regulatory learning is delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities
  • Partner with senior stakeholders and HR Business Partners to understand business needs and translate these into targeted learning solutions
  • Design, create, and manage the annual core learning portfolio
  • Source, manage, and evaluate best-in-class external learning suppliers (virtual and in-person)
  • Develop and own the organisation's digital learning strategy, including oversight of internally produced e-learning
  • Oversee learning platforms, digital content, and the ongoing expansion of the digital learning offer
  • Liaise closely with Risk, Compliance, and regulatory teams to ensure mandatory learning is current, well-governed, and appropriately reported
  • Manage the L&D budget, including financial reporting and cost control
  • Lead the learning administration team, including management of an admin manager and coordinators
  • Develop a sustainable strategy for marketing learning activity to drive engagement and attendance
  • Create robust feedback, evaluation, and impact reporting frameworks
  • Oversee CPD and professional qualifications across the organisation
About you
  • Strong experience in learning, L&D, or professional education within a regulated or complex environment
  • Proven ability to design and deliver learning strategies aligned to business needs
  • Experience managing significant learning budgets and supplier relationships
  • Confident people leader with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including partnership with HR, Risk, and Compliance
  • Experience of digital learning platforms and LMS solutions (SuccessFactors desirable)
  • Highly organised, commercially aware, and comfortable balancing strategy with delivery
