Learning Mentor - Hemel Hempstead

Academics are recruiting a committed Learning Mentor for a permanent post supporting students with social, emotional and behavioural needs in Hemel Hempstead. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about making a long-term impact on young people's lives.

Responsibilities

As a Learning Mentor, you will work closely with students to build trust, support emotional regulation and promote positive behaviour. You will use de-escalation techniques, provide consistent boundaries and help maintain a calm, structured learning environment. Collaboration with staff, parents and outside agencies is an essential part of ensuring each young person receives tailored support.

We are looking for a resilient, patient and empathetic Learning Mentor who can form strong relationships and confidently manage challenging behaviour. Experience within SEN, SEMH or youth support is beneficial, though full training is provided.

This permanent Learning Mentor role in Hemel Hempstead offers a competitive salary of £450-£550 per week, reflective of the responsibility and impact of the position.

Qualifications and Requirements
