About the DepartmentGoldsmiths has set up a unit, called Goldsmiths Online and Adaptable Learning (GOAL) with the following mission:
To provide an integrated learning eco-system that highlights what is best about Goldsmiths and reaches the people who can most benefit from what Goldsmiths has to offer, irrespective of physical location, time commitments, and educational backgrounds.
Realising this mission will mean working with academic departments, professional services at Goldsmiths and external teaching, development, and delivery partners to deliver online and hybrid teaching across the College. The initial plans for GOAL are extremely ambitious, involving the development of a portfolio of new online programmes, hybrid learning environments, micro-credentials, and charitable outreach, to provide flexible learning opportunities extremely widely.
About the RoleAs the Learning Design and Content Production Manager for GOAL, you will play a major role in developing Goldsmiths' online portfolio, leading on the pedagogical and physical design of the VLE and new programmes on the VLE. The role involves design, filming, and editing of content. The role holder will be expected to build, motivate, and manage a team to support this work. The role holder will ensure that GOAL provides creative and efficient support to academic staff in Goldsmiths departments as they plan, design and implement online programmes and MOOCs.
About the CandidateYou will have a strong background in online and blended learning design, ideally within the UK higher education sector. The ideal candidate will bring pedagogical expertise, technical proficiency in VLEs and digital content production, and a passion for accessible, inclusive education.
