Job Description
Learner Industry Placement Officer
- To coordinate and manage student placements, ensuring learners are matched to appropriate opportunities provided by the Employer Partnership Team. To act as the main point of contact for learners throughout the placement process, providing ongoing support and guidance from initial matching through to successful completion of their placement programme To ensure a minimum of 3 workplace observations (for T Level learners) are completed across the duration of the placement programme, alongside assessment of placement diaries/workbooks where required. To ensure all placement documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner, maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date records on systems such as Grofar, and ensuring that all learner placement hours, targets and programme requirements are achieved within agreed timelines. To monitor learner attendance and progress on placement (weekly or block release as appropriate), ensuring learners remain on track and addressing any issues promptly. To ensure learners are fully prepared for placement by supporting the completion of all pre-placement requirements (e.g. DBS checks, care certificates, CSCS cards, food hygiene) and ensuring they receive a comprehensive induction from both the College and the employer. Required Skills and Experience: Holds a relevant qualification Has substantial experience of supporting young people or learners within an education, employability or structured support environment. Holds English & Maths GCSE or equivalent. Is an effective communicator. Has strong administrative skills, well organised, able to keep accurate and easily retrievable records.
