Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon ready to take the next step into a leadership role?
We're recruiting for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon in Hampstead, London, offering an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a thriving small animal practice while continuing to provide excellent clinical care.
Whether you're already working as a Lead Vet or you're an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking for your first leadership position, this role offers the opportunity to develop your own leadership style, build a strong local client base and lead a supportive, high-performing team.
The RoleAs Lead Vet, you'll play a key role in the clinical and operational development of the practice.
You'll have the freedom to bring your own ideas to the role, influence the future direction of the clinic and help create an outstanding experience for clients, patients and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Delivering exceptional clinical care through consultations and procedures
- Taking overall responsibility for patient care and clinical standards
- Building strong relationships with clients and supporting client retention and growth
- Leading, mentoring and developing the veterinary team
- Supporting graduate vets and colleagues with clinical development
- Creating a positive and supportive team culture
- Driving continuous improvement across clinical standards and processes
- Ensuring compliance with RCVS, regulatory and practice standards
- Working closely with the Practice Manager to support the commercial performance of the clinic
- Identifying opportunities to grow the practice and make the most effective use of clinical capacity
- Holding and contributing to clinical meetings and sharing best practice
- Supporting the ongoing development and future direction of the practice
We're looking for an RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon who:
- Has strong experience in small animal veterinary practice
- Has previous clinical leadership or mentoring experience
- Is confident managing a varied clinical caseload
- Has excellent communication and client care skills
- Can inspire, coach and develop colleagues
- Is passionate about maintaining high clinical standards
- Has a proactive approach to practice development
- Understands the importance of both clinical excellence and commercial performance
- Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a close-knit team
This role would suit an experienced Senior Veterinary Surgeon, Lead Vet or Veterinary Surgeon looking to progress into leadership.
Salary & Benefits- Salary up to £80,000 DOE
