Lead Systems Specialist

The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a motivated Commissioning Engineer to join our Industrial Refrigeration Installations team based in Gorinchem. In this role, you will focus on the design, commissioning, inspection, and troubleshooting of complex industrial refrigeration systems and heat pumps. You will be the technical point of contact for our clients on-site, both in the Netherlands and abroad, ensuring systems are delivered and maintained to the highest standards.

You will report to the Project Manager and primarily work at customer sites, with occasional presence at our Gorinchem office.

Key Responsibilities

• Commission and start up systems under general supervision, following defined standards and procedures.
• Test installations and verify proper functionality.
• Provide detailed reports and advise clients and colleagues on technical aspects and recommendations.
• Diagnose and repair system faults requiring specialized technical knowledge and certifications.
• Interpret technical documentation such as electrical schematics, fluid control diagrams, piping layouts, and psychrometric charts.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients upon arrival and departure from the site, ensuring full understanding of their needs.
• Ensure compliance with Johnson Controls' safety culture and all applicable safety standards.
• Adhere to environmental and industry regulations.
• Represent Johnson Controls professionally as the face of the company on-site.

Your Profile

• Completed MBO-level technical education or equivalent.
• Preferably experienced in HVAC or refrigeration systems.
• F-gas and ammonia system certifications are a plus.
• Independent, solution-oriented, and resilient under pressure.
• Proactive and customer-focused.
• Knowledge of mechanics, IT, electrical systems, and control technology.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
