Technical Lead - .NET/React (Azure)

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead .Net/React Developer to work for a large public sector organisation in Edinburgh. The system is a business-critical application with a Legacy MVC foundation, alongside modern cloud components including Azure Functions, APIs, and modern React frontends. This role requires someone comfortable operating in a brownfield environment, balancing feature delivery with gradual architectural improvement and reduction of technical debt.

Essential skills:

• Strong experience with .NET and modern React development
• Experience leading teams of 5+ developers
• Comfortable working in large Legacy systems
• Strong Azure cloud experience
• Ability to guide technical decisions, architecture, and engineering standards

Nice to have

• Experience modernising monolithic applications
• Public sector experience
• Experience reducing technical debt in long-lived systems
