Lead Project Manager

Overview

Job Description: We have an opportunity for a Lead Project Manager within the Advanced Targeting sector.

Your Impact:

Based on site in Edinburgh, you will be part of the team developing and delivering advanced laser products to a variety of customers. Within the sector there are a number of opportunities available which the successful candidates will be partnered with based on their skillsets and experience. This exciting role offers the opportunity to be at the heart of delivering cutting edge technology to key end users.

As the Lead Project Manager, you will:

• Report to the Programme Manager for the project.
• Lead the IPT in ensuring on time delivery of all requirements to the business.
• Report project progress and financial status to Programme Manager.
• Work with all stakeholders within the sector to support the wider business governance.
• Based onsite 3-4 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects with multiple stakeholders to deliver on time and within scope.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and align project plans with business objectives.
• Monitor progress, risks, issues, and change controls; report to senior management as required.
• Ensure compliance with governance processes and security requirements where applicable.

Qualifications

• You will typically be degree qualified in a business or engineering related discipline or an equivalent suitable level of work experience.
• You will have Project Management experience in managing projects with multiple stakeholders.
• You will be enthusiastic and well organised.
• You will have the ability to embrace and work to tight timescales/deadlines.
• You will be a team player and have the natural ability to support others and seek support.
• You will possess effective and flexible communication, negotiation skills and interpersonal skills.
• Strong stakeholder management.
• A pro-active approach with a "can do" attitude, striving for continuous improvement, effectiveness and efficiency.
• Working knowledge of SAP is highly beneficial.
• APM / PMP qualification (or working towards a qualification).

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government's Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
