Lead Product Owner -Hosting

Your new company
A leading government organisation is seeking a Lead Product Owner to manage a critical cloud hosting capability at SECRET level. This service is delivered across multiple government partners and represents a core growth area for the organisation's digital operations.

Your new role
You will take ownership of a strategic hosting capability, transitioning it from a programme-based structure to a product-centric model.

Responsibilities include:

• Defining and maintaining the product vision and roadmap aligned with cross-government hosting strategy.
• Managing the product backlog, prioritising features based on strategic importance and business value.
• Leading a product team of up to 20 people, ensuring delivery to time, cost, and quality.
• Engaging with stakeholders across technical teams, leadership, and government partners.
• Overseeing financial and governance reporting under scrutiny.

What you'll need to succeed
Essential:

• Proven experience in strategic product ownership and roadmap development.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience managing large product teams.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
• Deep understanding of digital hosting environments at SECRET level.
• Expertise in Agile product delivery, backlog management, and prioritisation.
• Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.

Desirable:

• Certifications in Agile (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and project management (MSP, PRINCE2).
• Experience with cross-functional teams and Government Service Standard.
• Knowledge of relevant tech stacks.
