Job Description

Location: Leamington Spa and Customer Site in Surrey

Area: E/E wiring system

EDAG Engineering UK is a small but growing collaborative team focusing on key UK Customers, with access to large multidisciplinary teams globally. With over 9000 employees worldwide, our core business is providing engineering solutions to major automotive companies and their suppliers.

We are seeking a LEAD Product Engineer for E/E wiring system to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to our expansion. The position is based in Royal Leamington Spa, at the heart of the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project coordination
  2. Achieving cost, deadline, and performance targets, including quality
  3. Creating status and decision slides for committees (Committee Management)
  4. Managing deviation from SOW claims (Claim Management)
  5. Defining and interpreting risks, deriving measures (Risk Management)
  6. Communicating with and involving all relevant stakeholders (Stakeholder Management)
  7. Supporting quotation preparation for 2D and 3D topics
  8. Administrative coordination
  9. Structuring and planning all 2D and 3D tasks
  10. Delegating 2D and 3D tasks
  11. Monitoring and documenting all 2D and 3D tasks
  12. Managing at least 3 employees professionally in 2D and 3D tasks
  13. Checking and releasing hours in SAP
  14. Technical leadership for all 2D and 3D tasks
  15. Technical management of at least 3 employees

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering
  • Knowledge of architectures and bus systems
  • Excellent knowledge of wiring system environments
  • Experience with 2D and 3D tools relevant to wiring systems
  • Proficiency with PDM tools (e.g., Teamcenter)
  • Strong communication skills and leadership ability
