Lead Power Systems Engineer

We're seeking a skilled Power Systems Engineer to join a leading energy infrastructure developer with a global portfolio of renewable energy projects.

The team delivers renewable energy projects entirely in-house-from design and planning to construction.

• Grid Connection & Compliance: Conduct feasibility studies and manage grid connection applications for renewable and digital infrastructure projects.
• Energy Capacity Reviews: Assess network capacity, develop reinforcement strategies, and resolve congestion or voltage issues.
• Grid Market Intelligence: Keep up-to-date with emerging codes, policies, and technical standards; recommend operational improvements.
• DNO Management: Manage relationships with Distribution Network Operators and oversee grid connection approvals.
• Technical Expertise: Apply knowledge of electricity transmission & distribution networks, substation design, and power system analysis tools.
• Collaboration & Innovation: Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to optimize project efficiency and reliability.

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years' experience in renewable energy and UK grid systems.
• Expertise in power system analysis tools (e.g., DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS E, PSCAD, ETAP).
• Familiarity with G59/G99, G100, and relevant UK regulatory frameworks.
