Accountable for the associated Infrastructure strategy, security strategy and technical product roadmaps across the Lab/Platform. Includes measuring and reporting effectiveness of automation and orchestration to senior stakeholders. We're delivering one of the UKs richest transaction datasets, revolutionising financial insights and market intelligence for LBG and our customers. It's a critical role to us, as you'll drive the evolution of data analytics solutions and AI capabilities, by developing and delivering solutions that are aligned with our group technical strategy and help achieve our lab's goals and priorities. What you'll do You'll be responsible for all aspects of cloud platform/ infrastructure strategy to support new solutions and features, including design, delivery and management. Lead, mentor and coach a talented group of engineers, guiding them through infrastructure deployment and configuration, to deliver robust, scalable cloud platform. You'll be balancing business priorities and requirements to ensure operational stability, scalability and adherence to group standards. You'll lead the continuous improvement plan to simplify platform and optimise cost. Take responsibility for developing and implementing IT Security policies for a broad area within the organisation and champion best practices in infrastructure security, resilience, and reliability You'll use knowledge and experience of Cloud technologies to help shape our strategy. Advise engineers on considerations around functional and non-functional requirements and guide them during design, development and testing. Be solving technical problems at pace, identify and implement infrastructure updates following engineering best practices. Work alongside the team Product Owner to plan and manage the delivery of feature roadmap to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. What you'll need An experienced engineering lead, platform/ infrastructure engineer with a recent focus on developing solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Strong experience across cloud infrastructure components- compute, storage, networking, and security. Familiarity with PaaS services and hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container technologies. A solid understanding of cloud security models (IAM, Service Principals, VPCs). Practical experience with infrastructure-as-code practices (e.g. Terraform or similar tools). Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g Dynatrace).
