Lead Housekeeper / Cleaner - Whiteleaf Centre

We are recruiting for a Housekeeper / Cleaner to join and lead our team at the Whiteleaf Centre based in Aylesbury where you'll manage housekeepers in order to ensure all service standards are met and maintained. We have a vacancy on Sapphire Ward (inpatient facility for working age men who have acute mental health needs).
You'll be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the patient rooms, public areas, back of house areas such as linen room and laundry areas, according to the organisation's policies and procedures at a level that meets or exceeds National Cleanliness standards.
The housekeeping team works closely with nursing staff to ensure a clean and safe environment for our patients as well as overseeing catering provisions. The role is full time (37.5 hours per week) and will involve shift work (7am - 3pm and 10.30am to 6.30pm), weekends and bank holidays over a rolling rota, which will be paid at an enhanced rate.

Main duties of the job- Carry out a localised induction with all new staff members managed by post holder
- Conduct annual appraisals and monthly supervisions for managed staff
- Responsible for authorising annual leave and recording and managing sickness levels
- Ensure that all staff mandatory and task specific training is completed in liaison with Facilities co ordinator
- Ensure managed staff are aware of any policies and procedures required to complete their tasks
- Support line manager with rotas and cleaning schedules
- Ensure that staffing levels are maintained to adequately meet the service requirements; to highlight any issues immediately to line manager.
- Responsible for managing stock levels for cleaning consumables, linen and food stock levels and highlighting shortages to line manager to order
- Responsible for the recording and retention of all documentations required for food and cleaning services, i.e. temperature checks and cleaning task list
- Collate all timesheets and provide to admin for completion of turnaround document
- Carry out daily cleaning routines as scheduled
- Carry out terminal and enhanced cleans as per local procedures

£25,760 to £27,476 a year per annum pro rata
