Job Description
Are you a software expert and passionate about building core engines akin to game engines?
As part of the Play Experience team, you will be a central part of the Play Engineering organization as we drive to bring advanced technology in-house, working across all technical teams, while always focusing on the experience of the LEGO fans of all ages.
Responsibilities- Oversee the development, implementation, and improvement of the Software Platforms running on LEGO toys, with future needs in mind.
- Bridge together the work provided by the System Architects, Software Engineers and Product Designers.
- You will design and define scalable and maintainable systems, optimizing performance and resource usage.
- Own and maintain the documentation for Software Platforms and keep it relevant and useful.
- Negotiate and discuss trade offs with both technical and non technical parties, while keeping focus on the goals.
- Provide support and assistance to the engineers developing the Play Experience Platform and all related experiences.
- Align with business stakeholders to ensure that the Play Experience Platform will provide what is needed for future toys.
- Strong experience in designing and building core engines akin to game engines.
- Strong experience in sharing knowledge and writing efficient documentation, including technical documentation such as the C4 model.
- Skilled in the following programming languages: C++, C, Python.
- Experience with Domain Specific Languages (DSL).
- Demonstrable ability to work on engineering projects within a team.
- Self organising with a growth mindset.
- Focus on the user experience while fitting within technical constraints.
- Experience with embedded systems.
- Experience using GitHub for code management.
- Experience using Jira for task management.
