Lead Engineer (PHP/Golang)

Role: Lead Engineer

Stack: PHP, Laravel, Go, GCP

Location: London, Hybrid (1-2x Month)

Salary: Up to £120k + benefits

Xcede are partnering with a well known technology platform that has over 15 million registered users and are going through a very exciting transformation as a business.

What will you do as a Lead Engineer?

• You will be responsible for leading the backend engineering strategy across the core API infrastructure.
• Driving best practices and standards
• Building a robust, high performance architecture powering millions of transactions
• Organically migrating over from a Laravel Monolith to Golang Microservices

What background are they looking for?

• Extensive PHP/Laravel experience
• Platform experience (K8s/Docker)
• Familiarity with building large scale, high load platforms
• Bonus: Golang microservices
• Leading architecture discussions
