Lead Developer C# .NET

Overview

Lead Developer is needed for our client based in Corby, Northamptonshire, who are looking to employ an experienced Lead Developer with proven ability to lead a small development team with a strong background in web development, ideally with experience in .NET Core, C#, and modern front-end frameworks.

Location & Compensation

Location: Corby, Northamptonshire

Salary: £50,000.00 - £55,000.00 per annum + Benefits; Hybrid working

Responsibilities

• Architect and oversee development of internal applications and services.
• Lead the migration of legacy desktop and web applications to .NET Core, ensuring modularity, testability, and cross-platform compatibility.
• Define and enforce coding standards, version control practices (Git), and CI/CD pipelines. Ensure all code is unit tested and reusable across platforms.
• Support and mentor other developers. Conduct code reviews and promote a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Evaluate and recommend frameworks, tools, and technologies aligned with the company's long-term goals. Stay current with Microsoft's .NET roadmap and industry trends.

Qualifications

• Strong background in web development, ideally with experience in .NET Core, C#, and modern front-end frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead a small development team and enforce coding standards.
• Experience with shared libraries, modular architecture, and multi-platform delivery.
• Comfortable working with legacy systems and transitioning them to modern platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Azure DevOps, and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Strong communicator who can collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners.
