Job Title: Lead Clinician

Location: Syon Manor College - London TW7 5AJ

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday 8.30am-4.30pm

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 FTE per annum (Full-Time Equivalent), dependent on experience. The stated salary is based on a full-time, 52-week contract. For candidates seeking a Term-Time Only (TTO) arrangement, the salary will be pro rata accordingly.

Contract: Permanent. Term-Time Only (TTO) by default, with potential flexibility to offer a full-time (52-week) contract if preferred. Please get in touch if a full-time arrangement is of interest.

We're looking for an experienced Lead Clinician to join our team who will contribute to bespoke assessment and intervention plans for the pupils we support. This is a wide and varied role ideal for those looking for a new challenge where you can truly have an impact on shaping services and driving change.

About the role

The post is located within Syon Manor College based in London. You will be joining a clinical team to facilitate MDT working, consisting of Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Psychotherapy. The clinical team is embedded into the structure of the provision which enables positive and effective multi-disciplinary working across the education services, in order to maximise clinical outcomes for our pupils. In order to support our young adults, you will also be working alongside education colleagues to promote self-care, independence and life skills in preparation for adulthood.

You will be working within the overall framework of the service policies and procedures and within existing MDT and Clinical Governance structures to support the services in future development and ensuring quality assurance.

All our settings maintain a strong safeguarding culture, and the pupils we support are heard, respected and involved in decisions that affect them wherever possible.

Essential Criteria:

  • BSc or MSc in Speech & Language Therapy or OT with registration as a SaLT with HCPC and RCSLT or OT with HCPC and RCOT, Qualifications (Masters) in Psychotherapy with HCPC registration and BPS/professional body
  • Experience in supervising related disciplines.
  • Previous experience working with children and/or adults with a range of Autism related needs and associated learning, language and/or social, emotional and mental health difficulties
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of key partners
  • Able to work sensitively with people and resolve conflict effectively
  • Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting
  • Substantial and relevant post-qualification experience with children and/or adults.
  • Skills in the management of data are also important as the role includes collecting and analysing data to inform various pieces of service delivery, development and project work.
