Job Description
An opportunity to lead and grow a new in-house HVAC division

We are a growing building services company looking for an experienced Air Conditioning / HVAC Engineer to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is not just another engineer role. We are looking for someone who wants to come in, take ownership, and help us build and grow our own internal air conditioning and HVAC division.

The right person will have strong experience across both commercial HVAC systems and domestic air conditioning, with the ability to work on larger commercial plant such as AHUs, VRV/VRF systems, split systems, ducted systems, cassette units, ventilation systems and general AC/HVAC equipment.

As our workload continues to grow, we want to bring this work in-house and build a reliable, professional team around the right person. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants stability, responsibility, long-term progression and the chance to play a key role in the future growth of the business.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out service, maintenance, fault finding, repairs and installation work across a mixture of commercial and domestic sites.

The work will include:

Servicing, maintaining and repairing air conditioning and HVAC systems
Working on commercial AHUs, VRV/VRF systems, splits, multi-splits, ducted and cassette systems
Domestic air conditioning installation, servicing and breakdowns
Diagnosing faults and providing practical, cost-effective solutions
Supporting with site surveys, quotes and technical advice
Liaising professionally with clients and the office team
Helping to shape how our in-house HVAC division operates
Supporting future recruitment, training and growth of the team as the division develops

For the right person, this role can grow into a genuine leadership position within the company.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is experienced, reliable and confident working independently.

The ideal candidate will have:

Strong experience in air conditioning and HVAC
Experience working on commercial systems, including larger plant and AHUs
Domestic air conditioning experience
Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
F-Gas qualification
A full UK driving licence
A professional, customer-focused approach
The ability to manage jobs from start to finish
A positive attitude and pride in doing the job properly

Previous experience supervising engineers, apprentices or subcontractors would be a bonus, but it is not essential. What matters most is that you have the right technical ability, attitude and desire to help grow something properly.

What We Offer

We want this to be a long-term opportunity, not just a job.

You will receive:

Competitive salary, depending on experience
Company van
Fuel card
Overtime opportunities
Stable, full-time employment
Long-term career progression
The opportunity to help build and lead a growing division
Support from an established and growing company
Training and development where required
Pension

Uniform

This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer who wants more than just being sent from job to job. You will have a real voice in how the division is built, the standards we work to, the systems we use and the team we develop around you.

Why Join Us?

We are a growing company with a strong client base and increasing demand for HVAC and air conditioning work. We are now ready to bring this work in-house and invest in the right person to lead it.

You will be joining at the start of an exciting stage of growth, with the potential to build a team, shape a department and create a long-term future for yourself within the business.
