For an in-house client with HQ in Madrid, SSQ is looking for a Lawyer- 8 PQE- Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), including the negotiation, drafting, and execution of agreements with various counterparties.

Our client is a Spanish parent company, with presence in several countries. It's an independent power producer (IPP) that integrates the development, construction, operation, and maintenance of large-scale renewable energy plants.

About the role

-Consulting and management of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), including the negotiation, drafting, and execution of agreements with various counterparties.

-Support in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) processes, including due diligence, transaction structuring, and contract review.

-Regulatory compliance, corporate governance, corporate management, analysis and mitigation of legal risks in energy sector transactions.

Requirements

-Minimum of 8 years of experience in legal departments of companies in the energy sector or top-tier law firms.

-Solid experience in PPAs, including contract negotiation and execution.

-Knowledge of the field of M&A and transactions.

-Negotiation and effective communication.

-Advanced level of English (spoken and written).
