LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT / PROJECT MANAGER North of Milngavie
Maternity Cover Potential Permanent Position

North Glasgow
Company Car Provided
Full-Time, Monday Friday starting November 2026.
Temporary Maternity Cover with Potential Permanent Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Landscape Architect / Project Manager to join our team in North Glasgow, initially providing maternity cover.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can confidently manage landscaping projects from the initial planning and design stages through to successful completion with our experience build teams.

For the right candidate, there is the possibility of a permanent full-time position following the maternity cover period.

THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day planning, coordination and management of multiple projects, working closely with clients, site teams, suppliers and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing landscaping projects from initial enquiry/design through to completion and handover
Reviewing and producing landscape drawings, specifications and project information
Preparing project programmes and coordinating works
Attending client, design and progress meetings
Liaising with clients, architects, main contractors, local authorities, suppliers and subcontractors
Carrying out site visits and monitoring progress, quality and programme
Coordinating labour, plant, materials and subcontractors
Assisting with project pricing, budgets and cost control
Managing variations and additional works
Procurement and ordering of materials
Monitoring project deadlines and ensuring works remain on programme
Maintaining accurate project records, reports and documentation
Working closely with site management to resolve design or construction issues
Ensuring projects are delivered to the required quality, safety standards.
Assisting with final inspections, snagging and project handovers
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for someone with relevant experience in landscape architecture, Private landscaping, construction or project management.

The successful applicant should have:

Previous experience managing landscaping or construction-related projects
Strong organisational and project management skills
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
Good understanding of drawings, specifications and construction information
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project costs
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Confidence dealing with site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and project management software
Experience with CAD/design software would be advantageous
Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
Full UK driving licence
