Your new companyYou will be joining well-established construction teams working in Reading. Our sites are busy, varied, and offer ongoing opportunities for reliable labourers who take pride in supporting smooth and safe site operations.Your new roleAs a Labourer, you will play a key role in day-to-day site activities. Responsibilities include preparing work areas, assisting tradespeople, handling materials, and ensuring the site remains safe, tidy, and hazard-free. You'll be working outdoors, supporting a range of construction tasks, and contributing to efficient project delivery across multiple sites.Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and maintaining work areas, including clearing debris and setting up equipment.
• Loading, unloading, and safely moving materials around the site.
• Assisting skilled tradespeople with basic tasks and tool handling.
• Mixing and preparing materials such as concrete and mortar.
• Operating basic hand tools and equipment under supervision.
• Following health and safety guidelines and wearing appropriate PPE.
• Maintaining site cleanliness and removing hazards.

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience as a Labourer or in a similar role (preferred but not essential).
• Physical stamina and the ability to carry out manual work.
• Basic understanding of construction processes and tools.
• A strong work ethic and the ability to follow instructions.
• A valid CSCS card (essential for most sites).
• A commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards.
• A Standard DBS which will be created through Hays
