Job Description
Laboratory Operations Technician - Oxford, UK

Join Novo Nordisk and help maintain a safe, efficient, and high performing laboratory environment supporting innovative scientific research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support laboratory safety and EH&S compliance.
  • Coordinate waste management, autoclaving, and laboratory decontamination activities.
  • Schedule and oversee cleaning of incubators, biosafety cabinets, and laboratory areas.
  • Manage laboratory supplies, inventory, and consumables.
  • Coordinate deliveries, shipments, and loading dock operations.
  • Support equipment set up, maintenance, and vendor servicing activities.
  • Conduct routine facility inspections, including safety equipment checks.
  • Manage the lab coat program and maintain required documentation.
  • Perform general laboratory housekeeping and operational support tasks.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in a laboratory, facilities, operations, or technical support environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to perform hands on tasks, including equipment set up and inventory management.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or research environments.
  • Experience with autoclaves, laboratory equipment, or facility support services.
  • First Aid/CPR or other health & safety certifications.
